STUDENT MINISTRY CAMPFIRE

Students in 6th–12th grade are invited to join us this Sunday, November 1, from 5:00–7:00 PM at the church bonfire pit on the back of the property by the storage buildings for an evening of fall games, campfire fun, and fellowship! Come hang out with friends, enjoy the fall weather, and make some great memories together. Bring a friend and join the fun!

MOMCO

MomCo is a welcoming place for moms to connect, grow in their faith, and encourage one another. Each month, we gather for a meal, devotion, conversation, and a fun activity. Childcare is available. Whether you’re a mom interested in joining MomCo or you’d like to volunteer with childcare, we’d love to have you be a part of it! Please see Danielle Duregger for more information. 

OCC PACKING PARTY

Join us on Friday, November 6, at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Centre for our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party! Everyone is welcome as we come together to pack shoeboxes with the items generously donated throughout the year. These boxes will bring joy and share the love of Jesus with children around the world this Christmas. We hope you’ll join us!

SIPS AND SCRIPTURES

Join the Women’s Ministry for Sips & Scripture on Saturday, November 7, from 9:30–11:30 AM! Enjoy a cozy morning of fellowship, Scripture, warm beverages, and delicious pastries. Come slow down, connect with other women, and be refreshed by God’s Word and one another. Sign up at the Welcome Desk and join us for this special morning together!

CLEAR THE BARNS

Join us on Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm as we clean out the church barns! Items available for pickup will include scrap lumber, unused decorations, old furniture and desks, and other miscellaneous items. All items must be picked up by 2:00 pm. Stop by and see if there’s something you can put to good use!

FAMILY SUNDAY

Sunday, November 8, is a Family Sunday! KidZone children will join their families for worship during the 11:00 AM service.

WeeKidz will remain open during the second service. KidZone children may still be dropped off during Sunday School classes at 9:45 AM, but we ask that parents pick them up when their class ends, before the 11:00 AM worship service begins.

Looking Ahead: Our next Family Sunday will be Sunday, December 27. Both KidZone and WeeKidz will be closed that day.

THANKSGIVING PROJECT

This Thanksgiving, we’re helping local families in need by providing Thanksgiving meal kits! Bags with a list of needed nonperishable food items are available in the church foyer. Please take a bag, shop for the listed items, and return your filled bag to the foyer by Sunday, November 15.

We are also accepting monetary donations to purchase frozen turkeys to include in each meal kit. Please bring donations to the Church Office by November 15.

Would you like to help assemble and deliver the meal kits? We’d love to have you be a part of this outreach! Please let Jeri or Megan in the Church Office know if you’re interested in volunteering.

Interested in Missions? Come Join Us at ICOM! Our church is registered for the International Conference on Missions (ICOM), happening this year in St. Louis, MO.

FCC Christmas Market

Join us Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at First Christian Church for our annual Christmas Market!

Shop from a wonderful variety of local crafters and small businesses, featuring woodworking, crochet, jewelry, candles, soaps, boutique items, and so much more.

Best of all, proceeds from the Christmas Market will help support updates to our church gym so it can continue serving future generations at First Christian Church.

DINNER THEATER TRIP

Come enjoy a fun afternoon of great music, delicious food, and fellowship with friends from FCC! Mark Grayless is organizing a group trip to the Harmony Theater in Hillsboro on Thursday, December 3, at 12:00 p.m. to see Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Tickets are $50 and include the performance and a delicious meal. Payment is due by November 22. Sign up at the Welcome Desk or during Sunday School. We’d love to have you join us!
